Founder/Initiator Of Bring Back The LightBorn and raised in the village of Taro, I have had an intimate connection with fireflies since childhood.
Over the years, I noticed their presence declining along with the destruction of their habitat.
As a result, I started this initiative to ensure that future generations can witness the magical glow of fireflies.
By restoring their population and improving their natural environment, I hope to create a lasting impact.

My passion for insects, especially fireflies, has grown since I was a child.
I studied Biology at Atma Jaya University in Yogyakarta.
In fact, working closely with fireflies in the lab feels truly magical and deepens my desire to protect them.
Furthermore, I believe that education plays a key role in conservation.

Interestingly, fireflies are often seen as spiritual beings within our traditions.
During my studies at Duta Wacana Christian University, Yogyakarta, I gained a balanced understanding between the mythological beliefs and scientific insights about fireflies.
Therefore, I aim to bridge tradition and science in supporting sustainable firefly conservation.
